Pinnacle (by Titleist) Golf Balls with Pacific Links Golf original logos. Iwa (Great Frigate Bird).
Cultural note: The image depicted in this logo is the Iwa, Hawaiian language name for the Great Frigate Bird. Iwa is also the Hawaiian language word for thief and was applied to the Great Frigate Bird due it’s propensity for stealing food from other birds, in mid-air. The Iwa (pronounced eva (a "v" following a vowel is pronounced as "w" in the Hawaiian language) depicted in this logo is a female. Males are all black.
The beautiful Oahu North Shore town of Haleiwa is named for the Iwa combing the word "Hale" meaning house in Hawaiian, with "Iwa" thus bestowing on the town the name "House of the Great Frigate Bird."
These Hawaii theme golf balls are popular with players and collectors alike.
